    When you become a member of Eckankar, you receive a discourse series for your personal study. You study one lesson a month at home.If you like, you can also join an ECK Satsang class to share experiences,insights, and questions.

    By now, you are well familiar with the basic doctrines of ECK. But what have you gained? If it is only a mental grasp of the Sugmad (God), the ECK, and the Mahanta, then the best is still to come. You are now ready to unfold your spiritual vision.

    The Letters of Light & Sound 1 Discourses are the next step in your spiritual training in ECK. In this series, we look at issues. You, even as Peddar Zaskq, are also getting ready to carry the message of Light and Sound to the people of the world. In your words and actions, they will see the Light of God. Some will ask about God and love and scores of other cares from their daily lives. And you need to know what to say.

  • "The Master 4 Discourses," Lesson 5 Postponed to January

    The purpose of the ECK teachings is simply to bring you into a state of divine joy and wonder.

    Once there, the enlightened Soul feels the burning love of Sugmad, which causes a gentle sense of wanting to serve God’s creatures at every chance.

    ECK of Itself is all, in power and in love. The higher you rise in spiritual unfoldment, the more you will prove the very same divine love to others. Love attracts love.

    The love of ECK is universal, awesome in scope, like a sea of sweet oil ready to fuel the lamp of Soul. But without a stout wick, Soul’s light will not shine brightly or for long. For this reason, the Mahanta writes the ECK discourses for you. They are like a spiritual wick that let you benefit from the power, majesty, and love of Divine Spirit. Not as a feeble, flickering light, but like a strong beacon in the night of material darkness so other Souls too may find their way to the light of the ECK teachings.

    It’s not overstating the case to say how fortunate a person is to find the Mahanta, the Living ECK Master and the works of ECK. God’s love is with you at all hours, day or night.

    In fact, the love of Sugmad fills all creation. Like the sun, it shines upon both strong and weak. It blesses the young and old, the just and unjust, and the rich and poor. Most people, however, don’t know that. They hold beliefs of all sorts, some of which are valid, but many which are not.

    The connection between you and the Mahanta is like a golden ribbon from heaven—strong, secure, and beautiful. Your light shines before all.

    The ECK discourses are the Master’s way of keeping that bond of love strong and pure. Few understand their purpose. They are his way of keeping the band of ECKists together and headed in the right direction, home to God.

    Many initiates in the early circles of ECK eagerly await the day when they, too, may read these sacred words from the Mahanta to advanced initiates alone. The Word of God shines in them.
